Abstract
This article attempts a study of Ewing Campbell’s short stories of his collection Afoot in the Garden of Enchantments (2007) set in the Canary Islands (four in Tenerife and one in Fuerteventura). After an introduction about the general structure of the collection and the style of the author, the analysis will explore the distinctive elements of his poetics and the presentation of Canary Islands as narrative space in each one of them, with special attention to «Flint and Cochineal». A translation into Spanish of this tale is added as ‘Anexo documental’.
