The hotels have a close relationship with new technologies 2.0. In this sense, the present study focuses on tourism, analyzing all its evolution to the recent Tourism 2.0 and the use of social media as a strategic element in the marketing and communication of tourism organizations. Through a survey, we analyze the extent to which Tenerife´s establishments fit the reality we are living, analyzing the level of support for the hotel establishments of the island of Tenerife in the network, in order to obtain a clearer picture of the context and current situation of development and use of social networks and the Internet in the hotel sector of the island of Tenerife. The study seems to confirm that the hotel infrastructure of the island is present in its entirety on the network.
