Abstract
The firm growth, being one of the most studied subjects from different scopes of economic science, does not count, at the moment, on a general theory, neither with a generally accepted conceptual definition. Nevertheless, growth appears as a necessary strategy to maintain the firm survival and and competitiveness in the long term. The aim of this paper is to deepen in the growth conditioners factors in the small and medium companies, providing some empirical evidence that contributes develop a growth model.
