Programa Augen v. β. Características y comparación con otros instrumentos de registro

In the last years, the procedure used on Observational Methodology for registration, has been the traditional “pencil and paper”. But, nowadays, this technique is less used due to incorporation of software, like Thème Coder o Sport Match Vision, which provides certain advantages such as more accuracy of records. The software Augen v. β, test version, is a tool designed to overcome some difficulties of registration task on observational research. The aim of the study is to test its usefulness, by comparing data recorded with pencil and paper procedure, and the software Augen v. β. The reability between observers is carried out by Kappa Coefficient, Generalizability Theory (GT), and descriptive analysis. The quality of data is good with both procedures (“pencil and paper” and Augen. v. β. with very similar G coefficients. The frecuency of detection of codes, shows that the results are the same for each observer with the different procedures. In conclusion, there aren´t important differences in encoding with one procedure or with the other.
