Resumen
The observation of peer interaction has been the aim of many researches in observational methodology. This requires appropiate tools that guarantees the quality of data and suitable for study behavior patterns in the classroom that would not be capture by direct observation . To achieve this aim, in what refers to observational instruments, it is necessary to assess, among others, two important aspects: the reliability between observers and homogeneity of the category system. Generalizability Theory (GT) (Cronbach, Gleser , Nanda , and Rajaratnam, 1972) allows to analyze both facets. In this study it is present the development of an observational instrument designed to study the interaction of students in an out of school program. For the assessment of the reliability and the homogeneity a cross facet design is used OxC. To calculate the reliability the observers are considered as facet of generalization or instrumentation (C/O), and for the homogeneity study, the codes (O/C).
