Zusammenfassung

The development of fistulas between the bronchial tree airway tree and the gastric tube is a rare complication after esophagectomy. This is a potentially life-threatening condition which often requires invasive procedures or an emergency surgical intervention. The case presented here deals with a patient who developed a gastro-bronchial fistula after laparoscopic esophagectomy due to a synchronous esophageal adenocarcinoma, resulted in a successful outcome only with conservative management.
