Résumé

We describe the case of a previously healthy 16 year-old male patient who developed severe pain in the right hip and fever after a short episode of diarrhea followed by strenuous exercise. Blood Culture grew Salmonella sp., and ultrasound and magnetic resonance showed sacroiliitis and myositis affecting right glutei, pyramidal and iliac muscles. The patients was placed on ceftriaxone and tobramicin, and showed a favourable course without the need of surgical debridement
