Abstract
Even being originally monolingual, or precisely because it is in an essential and unsurpassable way, we are inexorably led to address the task of translation. This is a task unavoidable and impossible to perform perfectly. This paper addresses the problems of translation work, highlighting the contributions made by José Ortega y Gasset and Jacques Derrida, aimed at highlighting their relevance and limits and its efforts to clarify its deepest sense.
