Abstract
In this work considerations about distribution of Pennisetum setaceum from El Hierro island are introduced. A bibliographic revision of the observations of this species in the island is done and it is indicated its introduction date in the several places. Moreover, information about its possible naturalization and/or expansion in the ecosystems of the island is provided with the aim to protect the endemic and indigenous elements of the local flora.
