El patrimonio migratorio entre las Islas Canarias y Latinoamérica

Abstract

This communication focuses on an exploratory notion, that of “migratory patrimonies¨, related to moving and / or transnational patrimonies: those that have been transfered, transformed and fixed through the mobility of people and historical undevelopment. These patrimonies are constructed in different ways in the new societies by the group itself, but they are also invisibly, recognized, reviled, valued, marginalized or integrated in multiple ways by the recipient societies. An example of special historical intensity is addressed: migratory heritage between the Canary Islands and Latin America. To do this, some references are made about historic patrimonies that are considered representative and the case of recent cultural heritage (late twentieth and early twenty first century) between the Canary Islands and Venezuela. A multistrategic and interdisciplnary approach is proposed using secondary sources and the fieldwork carried out by the autor in the Canary Islands and Venezuela.
