Abstract
In 1661, Elvira Lordelo, wife of Captain Martin de Naveda Romero, made before a public notary, a complaint against future documents that she could sign relating to her properties because, due to her husband’s pressure, she felt she would probably be compelled to execute them. In Modern Era, these situations of domestic violence happened, especially, when the couple had no descendants in common, and the husband had no expectations that his wife appoint him her heir.
