Abstract
During the decade of the seventies in the Canary Islands began to emerge small leftist movements that they wanted the independence of the Archipielago. Among these movements stressed the founded by the labor lawyer Antonio Cubillo, a man who from Algiers created an entire organizational structure in the search for this objective. In a context marked by decolonization movements in neighboring Africa, nationalist leader used every means possible to achieve his objectives (diplomatics, militaries,...). In response to this, Spanish state acted to repress these movements with the extreme harshness that characterized the law enforcement agencies legacy of the Franco dictatorship that was being dismantled.
