Abstract

This work describes the preparation of meso-tetraphenylporphyrin ligand and three of its metal complexes, prepared by reaction with Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II) salts by synthetic procedures framed in the so-called «Green Chemistry». The best results for the preparation of the ligand were obtained by reaction in gas phase of the reactants, benzaldehyde and pyrrole, without the need to add solvent or catalyst. In the case of metal complexes, the use of microwave irradiation allowed easy and efficient access to them. The synthesized compounds were characterized by spectroscopic techniques: UV-Vis, spectrofluorometry and nuclear magnetic resonance.
