Resumen
One experiment was carried out to investigate the comprehension of plural pronominal anaphors. Subjects read sentences that contained three antecedents, two feminine and one masculine, followed by a plural pronoun "They" in its Spanish femenine "Ellas". The superficial distance was manipulated by placing the two femenine antecedents in the same clause or in two different clauses (supercially close vs. syntactically distant). The spatial distance was manipulated by describing the two feminine antecedents acting in the same or two different locations of the physical space (spatially close vs spatially distant). A self-placed reading time task was used. The results showed faster reading times when when the two feminine were superficially close than when they were supercially distant .
