Abstract
Cultural heritage interventions require a methodology to ensure constituent ma-terials safeguarding and the protection of its values.In this text, the scientific methods for the characterization of metals and corro-sion substances are exposed. We propose an approach to the technology ofmetals. We defend a knowledge of corrosion mechanisms to understand copperand its alloys pathologies.
