Résumé
We studied the effect of anisotropic and isotropic deformation on the structural and vibrational properties of intercalated fluorine graphite (C4F)nunder compression up to 40 GPa, in relation to the layered structure of the sample and to the C-F bonding using Raman spectroscopy, x-ray diffraction and ab initio calculations. Our experimental results reveal a lattice distortion followed by a structural transition at around 10 GPa, which is confirmed by the theoretical ab initio calculations.
