Abstract

Objective: To explore the relationship between pain and the therapeutic strategies used in osteopathyand to attempt to justify the application of osteopathy in pain treatment. Material and method: We reviewed the literature on pain, its distinct control mechanisms, and thepossible therapeutic strategies. Conclusions: The therapeutic strategies used in osteopathy seem to be justified in pain treatment. However, the multiple variables related to pain and the different types of pain need to be consideredfor appropriate treatment
