Abstract

Neither the theologian as subject nor of thcology as a discipline is expcctecl something relevan t. Do not perceive their contribution as necessary for the person and for society. We know the anlhropological importance of the effort to think about the experience of faith. For this reason, this assessment of theological irrelcvance is disappointing and impoverishing. Our objective is to ask ourselves if there are passable ways for a relevant theology, which offers new representative schemes in its discourse, as a service to the knowledge of Gocl as He wanted to be known. The search for new representative schemes to which Benedicto XVI insinuates us, or the adaptation and evolution of the concept of God to new horizons of interpretation thal Philip Clayto tells us. To this end, although the Belgian thcologian Ado/phe Gesché is 1101 the only one, he is one of the most interesting in this effort to think of new representative schemes in which to offer the permanently new wine of faith to ali men of our time. This retlection is inserted in the publication-reflection madc by ISTIC-Gran Canaria on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the IX Diocesan Synod of the Diocese of the Canaries. ln their constitutions this need for pastoral service is insinuated which illuminates new situations and opens new perspectives for rellection.
