Abstract

Based on an incipient ethnographic fieldwork initiated in the last edition of the Keroxen festival, this text contributes to the understanding of the ways in which artistic activity produces what art connoisseurs and specialists use to call “relational art”. I argue that as an artistic practice, this festival explores conversations, forms of organisation or local experimental communities, bringing together groups and people from various countries, young and not so young, who participate in various artistic and cultural projects, tensing power relations within the framework of what is accepted and what is not accepted in the cultural-institutional bunker of the Canary Islands.
