Resumo

The present work focuses on the study of the rock engraving station of Los Llanos de Ifara, in Granadilla de Abona (Tenerife). It has 21 panels preserved in situ that house engravings with geometric-linear motifs (forming bundles or crisscrossed) and geometric ones with oval and rectangular shapes. The predominant execution technique is incision, followed by abrasion, pitting and scratching. Anthropic impact and a prominent insolation, together with intrinsic conditions conditioned by its basaltic nature, determine the fragility of this outcrop. In order to diagnose active degradation processes, a geometric analysis and documentation has been undertaken along with a systematic and sequential record of the conservation status. In this way, we have developed guidelines for the control and stabilization of its deterioration
