Abstract
The Royal Decree of April 9, 1886, made official and shaped Spanish business associations. The analysis of the foundational process of one of these entities abroad, as in the case of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Uruguay, will show its operating system and activities. It will also point out social actors intervening in the process
