Resum

The University has postulated itself as the scientific and educational basis of social changes, generating learning opportunities, and deconstructing concepts based on biases. This implies building new theoretical and practical foundations incorporating the gender perspective. Aim. To identify the perception that teaching staff and students have on the gender perspective in the Nursing Degree in the University of La Laguna. Methodology. Educational intervention project that includes an observational, cross-sectional study accompanied by a pilot/intervention experience where the interests and opinion of teaching staff and students in incorporating the gender perspective in the teaching curriculum are explored. Results. The students and teachers surveyed reported that this subject should be integrated into the Nursing training programme. Conclusions. Results show a general agreement in the introdution of a module on ‘Gender and Health’ in the Nursing Degree programme in the University of La Laguna. Module content should incorporate the gender perspective in each of the health dimensions, as well as in Development of new protocols, educational programmes and in the design of research projects.
