Abstract
The image of San Juan Bautista from the hermitage of the same name in Tacoronte was restored in 2019, revealing the original polychromy that allowed its dating. With this article we address its study while addressing the multiple possibilities that the work of restorers and the analyzes carried out on the piece have for art historians.
