Abstract

In this article we present the work that has been carriedout within the research project "Society and ArchaeologicalHeritage. Recovery of the Archaeological Heritage ofBuenavista del Norte (Tenerife, Canary Islands), in ruraland urban areas (PARQ_BVISTA)". The objective of thisresearch is the elaboration of an interpretative andoperational framework, oriented towards the creation ofcitizen participation networks in the management ofcultural heritage. The study is based on an articulatedmethodology that combines the multidisciplinaryperspective of the research team with qualitative andquantitative social research techniques. It comprises offocus groups, in-depth interviews to administrators andbusinesspeople and a questionnaire for local citizens.
