Resum

The dynamic reality of the tourist sector involves the implementation of actions for processes of renewal of consolidated tourist areas that try to adapt the offer to new needs of an increasingly plural demand in order to remain competitive and stay among the favorite tourist destinations. Many destinations choose to combine the creation of new supply of tourist accommodation, with the renovation of the existing ones. In the latter case, this also affects the complementary tourist activities, becoming an essential component in the overall visitor experience. One main activity chosen to create a renewal process of the existing infrastructure is the MICE segment, which become into a new and renovated model of product as a whole, either by the introduction of new infrastructure and/or new usages. The case of the Hotel Beatriz Atlantis & Spa is an example of renewal process through the incorporation of additional equipment not only through infrastructure and equipment, but through its business model as a whole and its integrated offered services.
