Résumé

The contribution of Canary Islands to the conquest of America had tree main landmarks. The first one is the expedition of Pedrarias Dávila in 1514, with a canarian contingent in it. The second one is from 1520, guided by Lope de Sosa to Panamá, in wich the most of members were from Gran Canaria. And the thirdone was from 1536, leaded by don Pedro de Lugo to Colombia, in wich the most of the members came from Tenerife. Three expeditions origined in Andalucía, with canarian colonizers, and with a destiny: the promising american continent.
