Abstract

On January 1st, 2021, Law 21/2021, of December 28th, came into force. It focuses on three objectives: revaluation of pensions, sustainability of the system and alignment of the real retirement age with the legal retirement age. The law is part of EU initiatives of recent years and especially in the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan to receive Next Generation funds. Particularly noteworthy among its measures are those that affect early retirement and cases of reduction in the retirement age, and this study focuses on it analysis.
