Under the Lanzarote and Chinijo Islands Geopark Project an inventory of geosites in the proposed area was done, one of them was the Caldera del Cuervo. This unique volcanic edifice was the first point at which began erupting in 1730-36 and it involves a series of activities, performances and values that were incompatible and sometimes endangered the conservation of geodiversity. With the principle of comprehensive and holistic management promulgating the concept of Geopark, from the managing body of this space was designed a series of measures involving the installation of informative elements, environmental restoration of land affected by extraction and interpretation activities and dissemination to the school community. Finally got all uses of the area are respectful and sustainable, proposing a monitoring method that allows forward and prevent the possible impact on the environment.
