Abstract
This proposal seeks to explore the possible use that the Guanches made of wild cattle. Studies have been carried out on the pastoral traditions in the Canary Islands that show the presence of this type of livestock after the conquest, but not before. Our starting hypothesis is that the difference between stabled and wild animals would be dietary and mobility. The procedure will consist of: 1) identifying the species, 2) determining bioclimatic environments through stable isotopes, 3) supporting these results with the study of dental calculi to identify the plant species they consumed.
