Résumé
Case report: A 66 year-old man was referred to our hospital because of a keratitis, refractory to different treatments that evolved in progressive decrease of visual acuity. Biomicroscopical examination showed a corneal dellen related to a prominent glaucoma filtration bleb, evolving into an annular subepithelial injury. «Double membrane cystic structures» were identified with Giemsa stain cytological. Discussion: No previous acanthamoeba keratitis suspect had been reached because the patient was not a contact lens user, delaying the diagnose and specific treatment and implying a negative evolution with loss of the functional and anatomic integrity of the eye.
