Case report: We report the case of a 4-year-old patient with diagnosis of bilateral congenital nasolacrimal duct obstruction who was probed at the age of 8 months. In his right eye the clinical situation persisted. For that reason four more probes were made, but the epiphora persisted. A polyurethane nasolacrimal Dr. Wilhelm type stent was implanted. Discussion: In recurrent failing cases our therapeutic choice is surgical. The nasolacrimal stent implant is a safe, effective and easy treatment which does not have the per- and postsurgical complications of the nasolacrimal intubation and dacryocystorhinostomy (DCR).
