Resumen

Case Report: We present the clinical case of a 48-year-old woman who attended the ophthalmology emergency room due to a peripheral scotoma in the right eye of 3 months of evolution. A lesion in the peripheral retina was visualized that raised the differential diagnosis with choroidal pseudomelanoma. Thanks to multimodal imaging, peripheral exudative hemorrhagic chorioretinopathy was finally diagnosed (PEHCR). Discussion: PEHCR is a rare condition that generates diagnostic confusion with choroidal melanoma. That is why knowing its characteristics and clinical behavior, as well as its appearance in imaging tests, is important when making the differential diagnosis.
