La recepción de la narrativa gráfica. Elementos culturales, estéticos y educativos

Resumo

Comic has been historically devaluated by scholars and general audience for various reasons: first of all, comic has been considered an “impure” media, as a result of a hybridization of draw and literature; secondly, comic has been considered a product for infantile audience. In this paper we will deep in the origin of both prejudices (and its aesthetical and cultural factors) to combat them and to develop comic’s own qualities as well as the benefits of reading comics not only for children but also for adults. As a conclusion we will maintain that reading comics is an activity with and intellectual, artistic and educational worth.
