La influencia del apego y el autoconcepto en los problemas de comportamiento de los niños y niñas de familias en desventaja socioeconómica

Resumen

Este artículo analiza la relación entre el apego, el autoconcepto y los problemas de comportamiento en niños/as de 6 a 12 años, provenientes de familias en riesgo psicosocial medio, caracterizadas por si-tuaciones de desventaja socioeconómica (N = 102) y de familias normalizadas (N = 114) de la isla de Tenerife (España). Todos asistían a un programa de intervención llevado a cabo en ludotecas o en cole-gios. Los participantes produjeron narrati-vas sobre las figuras de apego, valoraron su autoconcepto en diferentes ámbitos, y finalmente sus educadores evaluaron la presencia de problemas de comporta-miento de tipo internalizado y externa-lizado. Los resultados muestran que las dificultades en las relaciones de apego y un menor autoconcepto se relacionan positivamente con problemas de compor-tamiento de tipo externalizado así como con problemas cognitivos y sociales. Estas relaciones estuvieron moderadas por el estatus de riesgo familiar demostrando la mayor vulnerabilidad de los niños y niñas de familias en riesgo para presentar pro-blemas de comportamiento que pueden afectar a su desarrollo
