Abstract
As we reach the 25th edition of the Coloquios de Historia Canario-Americana, the time has come to take stock of the archaeological contributions presented in this forum over this period (1976-2020). This text will therefore review the genealogy of these contributions, which will have their own thematic area from 2002 onwards, provide some data, essentially quantitative, in relation to the contributions published in the proceedings of these meetings and, finally, briefly outline some conclusions and lessons for the future that can be drawn from this half-century of writing on archaeology.
