The work carried out in the Natural Monument of the Ifara and Los Riscos Mountains (Granadilla de Abona), consisted of confirming the existence of a Guanche rotary querns production area outside the area of the high mountains of Tenerife. The archaeological area is made up of a group of structures and raw material supply areas with remains that represent different phases of the operative chain linked to the elaboration of grinding pieces in vacuolar basalt.A rotary production area has been located, documented and analyzed in the south of Tenerife, which informs us that we are dealing with a much more standardized, generalized and specialized production than expected for the rest of the island context. The existence of mill querns is an indication that the Guanche agricultural activity may have been more important and widespread in the territory than what has been admitted to date.
