In this work, a review has been made of some of the chronicles or episodes that were written about the Canary Islands in which feral animals are mentioned, which would be those that we know were not found on the islands before the arrival of the population. aboriginal, but that in the written documents it is mentioned that they lived in freedom. Among these we can find more or less frequently mentions of goats, sheep, pigs or dogs. This type of references, added to the fact that in the post-conquest period some communities of these species were kept living in loose or semi-free conditions, makes us want to dedicate a detailed analysis to the frequency and descriptions made of these to better understand the anthropized habitat of the Canary Islands in aboriginal times.
