Resumen

Marco contextual: Las medidas restrictivas, el distanciamiento social y las preocupaciones en cuanto a la crianza fueron especialmente desafiantes para las familias con niños menores de cinco años. Objetivo: Reflexionar sobre los procesos de adaptación de las familias con niños menores de cinco años durante el Covid-19, a partir de la Teoría de Rango Medio: Adaptarse a los eventos de la vida. Principales temas en análisis: Se describen procesos de afrontamiento dentro de los grupos familiares principalmente adaptativos, no obstante, existen núcleos familiares con situaciones de mayor vulnerabilidad socioeconómica que no pudieron adaptarse de manera eficaz a los desafíos suscitados por la pandemia. Conclusión: La Teoría de Rango Medio: Adaptarse a los eventos de la vida le permite a Enfermería comprender lo vivido por las familias durante la pandemia del Covid-19 y proponer acciones de cuidado que promuevan un mayor bienestar físico y mental, así como orientar a los padres y madres en la generación de espacios estimulantes para el desarrollo infantil, acompañados de capacidades de adaptación y equilibrio emocional.
