Abstract

In this study, the viewsheds generated from four types of geographic information were analysed: i) Digital Elevation Model (DEM) and ii) Digital Surface Model (DSM) derived from LiDAR data; iii) DTM from a photogrammetric flight at 1/5000 scale; iv) Overlay cadastral cartography with the previous DTM. For the validation of theviewsheds, 30 checking points (15 visible and 15 non-visible) were used. The results show a high overall accuracy in viewsheds calculated from the DTM and the DSM derived from the LiDAR cartography (70% and 90%, respectively).
