Resumen

University programs related to marine navigation use virtual reality technologies and simulators in practical training. Theoretical training can take advantage of available technologies to make training and learning more effective. We propose an application based on augmented reality to help in improving learning and training in the use of sea charts. In addition to presenting the contents of the application, a usability study is carried out to know the effectiveness and efficiency of the application from the point of view of the user experience. To this end, comparative analyses of the perception of use are carried out among different groups of users (university students, students of professional studies, secondary students, and teachers).
