Resum
The main objective of this reflective essay is to show the usefulness of qualitative and / or phenomenological research in the care of patients with diabetes. Comprehensive care in a biopsychosocial, cultural and spiritual way for both the patient and the family of the same by the health professional, plays an important role when it comes to having quality of life in the new lifestyle. Qualitative research in nursing helps to interpret the suffering of the patient, her relationship with her social and cultural environment and her feelings and concerns within diabetes.
