Abstract
The social intervention processes conducted buy social workers with homeless people require a thorough knowledge of the most traditional intervention models, but also of the most innovative ones. They have demonstrated their efficiency from the best available scientific evidence and the systematization of professional practice, fundamentally in those cases in which the investigation and analysis of this reality has not yet been deepened. The technical teams of the Comprehensive Care Service for the Homeless show profanely in the different methodologies that they adapt and apply based on the characteristics and needs of the case, and, ultimately, of the social diagnosis. The user is constituted as an active subject in this intervention methodology where, in addition to the model`s own precepts, the skills, competencies, knowledge, experiences, expectations and decisions of the person are the main protagonist of their change process. However, given the complexity of homelessness in terms of its conception, approach and intervention, it is required that these models be flexible and adapt to the particularities and rhythms of people, but also to contextual conditions.
