Abstract
This contribution briefly presents the formative task developed in Pollentia from the decade of 1950 to the present executed in parallel to the archaeological interventions in the Roman and late antique city. This is the training developed with the students and future archaeologists participating in the field tasks in Pollentia and in the laboratory tasks at the Bryant Foundation or Can Domenec, which was the headquarters of the Hispano-American Archaeological Center of the Balearic Islands and is currently the headquarters of the Consortium of the Roman City of Pollentia. In this long period, we can differentiate two stages. First, the William L. Bryant Foundation period, which formalizes the formative task in 1969 and developing it until 1996; and, secondly, the AntonioArribas Palau Roman Archaeology Courses, from 1997 to the present. In both moments the formative vocation has always been present.
