Abstract
Some reflections and new data are raised about the hypothetical relationship with Freemasonry of some prominent members of the Canarian island clergy, in particular the figure of La Palma priest Manuel Díaz, whose statue stands in the main square of Santa Cruz de La Palma, at the be promoted by Masons of the island in 1894-1897.
