Abstract

Finding effective ways of improving university quality assurance requires that staff be also developed. This article illustrates an Online Programme Excellence Model (OPEM), based on the European quality assurance model, for improving participants’ formative programme standards. The results of applying this OPEM indicate the necessity of quality policies that support the evaluators’ competencies to improve formative programmes. The study concludes by outlining how faculty and agency staff can use OPEM for the internal and external quality assurance of formative programmes
