Abstract

The objectives of training and learning of the Degree of Business Administration and Management of the University of La Laguna is the one corresponding to the systems of support to the direction and the functions of the same as the planning, analysis, design and implantation of the information systems. Therefore, the student must acquire skills and abilities related to the writing of management projects, the use of information and communication technologies, and teamwork. This communication presents the initial results of the Educational Innovation Project approved in the last call of the University of La Laguna based on learning by projects and is addressed to students of the subject «Information Systems for Management» of the academic year 2015 -2016, which is given in the second quarter of the third year of the Degree of Business Administration and Management. The objective is to evaluate the efficiency of project-based learning in the acquisition and development of the competences established in the subject. To do this, we will use the following assessment techniques: the revision of the equipment practice sheets, the participation in the classroom and virtual classroom, the assistance to tutorials, and the project. The main results and conclusions will serve both to improve subsequent applications of the project-based method in this and other subjects on business information systems and to bring students closer to business reality.
