Resumen

«Focalization and Tonal Readjustment as a Didactic Strategy». From a didactic perspective, various types of strategy may be used in order to make the student pay attention in class and successfully receive the contents that should be conveyed. In this work we propose focalization and tonal readjustment as proper techniques to be used. Focalization has traditionally been related to the rematic part or new information in discourse and has been associated with a larger tonal prominence (F0) and a larger duration from the prosodic perspective; tonal readjustment consists in a raising of the tonal level at a certain point in the discourse so that a prosodic frontier may be established among the different parts in it (introducing a new epigraph, picking up the thread after a digression or, simply, as a boundary sign among different information units).
