Resumen
The Spanish language as spoken in the Canary Islands may be generally labelled as «Atlantic» or «southem», regardless of the many linguistic features that highlight it as different from this large group. However, sorne recent studies present as peculiar linguistic features sorne that are not representative of any social, cultural or generational layer. This work focuses on sorne phonetic and phonological phenomena of the Spanish spoken in Lanzarote in order to analise their distribution and intensity. It attemps, therefore, to define accurately whether they may really characterize this particular geolinguistic microvariety of the Canarian Spanish.
