Résumé

The exercise of the journalistic profession, the country ranked as most dangerous in the Americas to do so, is a daily challenge for those who chose this profession from an ethical position have to fight every day to be the mediators of the events and the citizen. Freedom of speech is censored by the various authorities involved in many cases, but in others it is the professional himself which self-censorship for fear of losing his life or heirs. Not to mention, those yielding to bribery undermine the quality and credibility of the news and demerits of the profession. This paper makes an exploratory tour documentary on the practice of journalism in Mexico to the risk which occurred in the drug war since December 2006 was opened from the presidency of the Republic.
