Abstract
Erasmus 2009 - 2013 is a cooperation and mobility program in the field of higher education that aims to enhance the quality of European higher education. ETSI Montes – UPM has participated as partner in two of these projects, and this year, we lead one of them. These projects intended to deliver new Master Programs in an integrated manner using the European Credit and Accumulation Transfer System and Diploma Supplement. A Virtual Learning Platform containing learning materials in a digital format including text, audio-material, images and video-material was made in the frame of the projects in order to support delivery across all participant European Institutions. The Erasmus Master courses are integrated, of high quality, and integrate technology in designing and delivering by a consortium of higher education institutions of five European countries (UK, Spain, Estonia, Rumania, Hungary). The first project, starting in 2009 to 2011, was an MSc Program in Technology – Enhanced Forest Fire Fighting Learning (MATEFL). In 2011 it was proposed a Master Degree related to Environmental Security (SEMP). This year, a program in Climate Change and Restoration of Degraded Land (RECLAND) and a Virtual Platform for Green Technologies (VITEG) are being developed, all in the frame of Erasmus Multilateral Projects. This work has been funded by the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA), as an Erasmus Multilateral Project through project number 517629-LLP-1-2011-UK-ERASMUS-EMCR.
